My story

I am an artist specializing in drawing, painting and illustration.  I also do graphic design and tutor in both art and writing.  My educational background includes a B.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Drawing and Painting from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.

My art has been displayed locally at the DuPage Art League, Helen M. Plum Memorial Library, Lombard Bible Church, and Wheaton College, with work selling at both the art league ad library.  One of my works won two awards at Wheaton College’s Nonword and Upward art show in 2011, juried by Tim Lowly.  Illustration projects include painting the cover of a local park district brochure, as well as illustrating a children’s book on Hanukkah (Hanukkah is Great by David and Betty Weinberger, copyright 2012).

I am passionate about art because of the transcendent nature of beauty and the powerful impact of images.  I share a similar passion of writing as well, combining my love for art and writing into a passion for storytelling, specifically illustrating through text and image.  Art is a communicator that transcends every language and penetrates every heart, and it is my desire to grow in my knowledge and skill as a visual communicator so that I may minister to people through my work.
